President Sherry Lindner called the regular meeting of the Library Board of Trustees to order at 7:01 p.m.
Corrections to the October 19, 2009 minutes are as follows: on page 2, Section d., should read “Christine Kamprath” instead of Cheryn Sutton; on page 5, Library Director’s Report, item # 13, should read “Thompson” to replace “?”.
A motion was made to accept the corrected minutes of the October 19, 2009 regular Library Board meeting as written.

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS
Carolyn Bert has attended the first of two training sessions for the E-rate discount. She reported that Form 470 has been completed.
The tax levy amount has been reported to be $81,147.00.
A motion was made to pass Ordinance 2009-2 for the levy of taxes for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2009 and ending June 30, 2010.

Regarding the lights for the sign and the flag, the school district owns the light that we would like to hook into for the power feed, but the city pays for the power. Archie will talk to Stephanie Mulholland about hooking onto the light.
Mevert Architects (Earl) gave several options about how to cure the library heating problem. The changes in the dampering have been successful to this point.
Curt Jeffers presented several samples on possible sign designs. The sign will be considerably less than the previous company’s cost but does not include installation.
4x6 – Single-sided $400 Double-sided $575
4x8 – Single-sided $500 Double-sided $675
This is a 5-year vinyl sign that should hold the color for 3½ years. No installation is included and the sign can be done in just a couple of days.
The board will discuss the presentation and decide at the next meeting.
On Saturday, December 12th, Santa will be at the Library from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. All trustees were invited to help that morning. The advertising for Santa’s arrival will be taken care of by the Public Relations committee.
A letter was sent to Ray Maynard, who is the student taking care of our website, about changes that need to be done on the website.
The Personnel Committee and Christine will be working on a new vacation policy in the coming weeks.
Library employees will be taking the CPR refresher course soon.

13. Sherry Herzog of the Evansville Library took 8-9 boxes of books that had been unsold at the Oktoberfest sale.
