CHECKOUT PERIODS

MATERIALS:
Books, Large Print, Audio Books, and Movies

  • New DVDs can be borrowed for 1 week.

  • All other materials be checked out for 2 weeks at a time with 1 renewal.

  • You can check a maximum of 6 items per patron.

  • New patrons have a limit of 2 items for 6 months.

  • Reference Books & Genealogy Material cannot be checked out of the library.

FINES & FEES

  • FREE: Library Card for Residents of Steeleville Area Public Library District & First Replacement Card

  • $60.00: Non-Resident Card Per Year Per Household

  • $2.00: Faxes Per Page

  • $0.10: Overdue Materials Per Day

  • No Late Fee for Students  Pre-k-8th grade

  • $0.25/ page printing and copies

  • $.50/page color printing and copies

  • $0.50 per letter size  (8.5x11inch) lamination sleeve

NEW USERS

  • To get a library card you must present a photo ID as well as proof of address (this can be a piece of mail addressed to your name at your current address)

  • Non-residents may purchase a library card for an annual fee. This covers the cost of the entire household for the year. Check the map below to see if you are in district.

  • Digital books are available. Request a four-digit pin number to get started on cloud library.

AVAILABLE SERVICES

WIFI PRINTING

  •  Pull up the document you wish to print on your phone or device.
  • Go to your wifi settings, select HP-Print-08-M203 LaserJet, and connect.
  • Go back to your document, and select Print. Choose the HP LaserJet M203dw printer, and print.
  • If you have any issues doing this, your phone may require you to download the HP Smart App. Go to 123.hp.com/laserjet and install.

BOOK ROOMS

Large Meeting Room

This room will hold up to 25 people.

Availability:

Monday 10-11 a.m.

Friday 10a.m. - 2p.m.

Saturday 10a.m. - 1p.m.

Small Meeting Room

This room will hold up to 10 people.

Availability:

Mondays

Tuesdays before 1p.m.

Wednesdays

Thursdays

Fridays before 2p.m.

Please call the library to book rooms ahead of time to be sure of availability.
