Event, Program, and Meeting Details:

April 1, 3-4p.m. - Lego Club

 

April 3 - Library Closes at 3:00p.m. for Good Friday

 

April 4, 10a.m.-1p.m. - Seed Swap

Stop by the library and swap seeds for your summer gardens! We will have a variety of fruit,     vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. You do not need to bring seeds to take seeds: everyone  is welcome to come get seeds! The seed swap is in collaboration with Christy Howell of Plants Everywhere and the Sparta Garden Club.

 

April 6, 11a.m.-1p.m. - Movie: Easter Parade (1948)

An Oscar-winning score that features 17 Irving Berlin songs drives this romp about a hoofer who tries to mold a singer into a Broadway star. To play the song-and-dance man, Fred Astaire came out of retirement and stepped in after MGM's original choice, Gene Kelly, broke an ankle prior to filming. Starring Fred Astaire and Judy Garland. Rated G, 1 hour & 47 minutes.

 

April 6, 2p.m.-4p.m. - Movie: Elemental (2023)

In a city hosting a variety of humanoid elementals (earth, air, fire, water), a hot-tempered, fire elemental, Ember Lumen meets the emotional, heart-on-his-sleeve water elemental, Wade Ripple. As they navigate precarious situations while trying to save a convenience store owned by Ember's father,  their stark differences bring them closer. Rated PG, 1 hour & 41 minutes.

 

April 8, 3-4p.m. - Craft Club

 

April 9, 4-6p.m. - Karaoke

Sing karaoke or lip-sync to your favorite songs. This month’s song theme is Y2K Icons, however songs that don’t fit the theme are also welcome. Children under 13 need parental permission as some songs can have some adult language.

 

April 10, 4:15 p.m. - Adult Book Club

We will be discussing Final Girls by Riley Sager, and picking up Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends by Benny Blanco.

 

April 15, 11a.m.-12p.m. - Story Hour

 

April 15, 3-4p.m. - Afternoon Tea

Enjoy tea, snacks, and conversation! Tea will be the 3rd Wednesday each month. We ask that you please do not bring food and drinks to share at afternoon tea, as each month’s menu has been carefully curated to compliment that month’s tea.

 

April 18, 10a.m.-1p.m. - Elemental Party!

Join us at the library for a day filled with earth, fire, air, water, and fun! Crafts, games, prizes, and snacks! Wear your best element-themed costumes! *Games and activities are geared towards children K-5th grade but all ages (even grown ups!) are welcome to participate.*

 

April 20, 7 p.m. - Board Meeting

 

April 22, 3-4p.m. - Flour Power Hour

Share and discuss recipes, baking tips & tricks, and share and sample delicious baked goods!  This month’s theme is strawberries!

 

Free GED/HSE Classes are available at the library Mondays-Thursdays!

Free ESL tutoring is also available at the library. Classes and tutoring are provided by the Monroe/Randolph Regional Office of Education. Call the library and ask for Kim for more information.
