Event, Program, and Meeting Details:

Tuesdays 1-3p.m. - Crafternoons

Join us on Tuesdays for Crafternoons (Craft + Afternoon) at the library! Bring whatever portable craft project you’re working on to the library and socialize while you work! Share your expertise, tips, and tricks with other crafters. We will provide coffee, tea, and hot cocoa to all participants. Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks as well.​

November 5, 3-4p.m. - Lego Club

Lego Club is for Kindergarten through 8th grades. Registration is required to join Lego Club. We still have a few spots available! Ask for a sign up sheet at the library.

 

November 6, 4 - 6p.m. - Broadway Karaoke

Sing karaoke or lip-sync to your favorite Broadway shows. Discuss plans for the theater club. Children under 13 need parental permission as some songs are from PG-13 shows.

 

November 7, 11:30a.m.-12 p.m. - Teen Advisory Board

Teen Advisory Board will meet the first Friday each month, on the day when Steeleville schools get out at 11:30. We will have a quick half-hour meeting to discuss program     planning and volunteer opportunities. Students in 7th-12th grades are welcome to attend.

 

November 7, 4:15 p.m. - Adult Book Club

We will be discussing One Poison Pie by Lynn Cahoon.

 

November 11 - Library Closed for Veterans Day

 

November 12, 3-4p.m. - Craft Club

Craft Club is now for 4th through 8th grades. Registration is required to join Craft Club. We still have spots available! Ask for a sign up sheet at the library.

 

November 12, 3-4p.m. - Flour Power Hour

Share and discuss recipes, baking tips & tricks, and share and sample delicious baked goods! This month’s theme is Fall Bakes.

 

November 17, 5p.m. - Stella’s Stuffie Sleepover!

Stella Evva, our Elf on the Bookshelf is back! Bring your stuffies down to the library for a sleepover with Stella! (Only toys will sleep over at the library.) See what shenanigans Stella and the stuffies get up to overnight at the library! Pickup will be Tuesday, November 18   after school. Children will receive a photo book of the fun things Stella and the stuffies did overnight! Come see Stella at the library each week until Christmas!

 

November 17, 7 p.m. - Board Meeting

 

November 19, 11a.m.-12p.m. - Story Hour

 

November 19, 3-4p.m. - Afternoon Tea

Enjoy tea, snacks, and conversation! Tea will be the 3rd Wednesday each month.

 

November 21, 2-3:30p.m. - The Nightmare Before Christmas Movie Showing

Runtime: 1hour, 16minutes. Rated PG.

 

November 27-28 - Library Closed for Thanksgiving

 

GED / HSE (High School Equivalency) Classes

Did you know the library offers FREE adult GED classes through the Regional Office of Education? Call the library and ask for Kim for more information! Monday- Thursday in the library. Ask for Kim for more information.
