August America250 Movie Series
¨ August 27 @ 4:00PM - Top Gun - Rated PG, 1 hour & 50 minutes
You do not need to sign up to attend regular movies at the library. Some snacks provided but you may also bring your own snacks and soft drinks in a lidded container.
August 26, 3-4p.m. - Flour Power Hour
Discuss all things baking and sample yummy baked goods. Call the library and ask for Suzy for more info and this month’s theme!
September 4 | 4:15PM Adult Book Club
We will be discussing Stuart Little by E.B. White and picking up your choice of Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and/or Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg.
September 7 - Library Closed for Labor Day
September 9 | 4-6PM - High School Musical Interactive Movie
This is an interactive movie showing of High School Musical (2006). Rated TV-G, Runtime is 98 minutes. At our interactive movies, we provide snacks, props, and a script prompt which tells you how to interact with the movie!
September 10 | 4-6PM - Karaoke at the library
Join us for casual, no pressure karaoke. Put on a performance or sing from your seat. This month’s theme is Country music, but you are not required to sing on theme.
September 16 | 3-4PM - Afternoon Tea
Enjoy tea, snacks, and conversation! We ask that you please do not bring food and drinks to share at afternoon tea, as each month’s menu has been carefully curated to compliment that month’s tea.
September 18 | 3-6PM - High School Musical Party
Join us for a High School Musical themed party at the library! Games, crafts, karaoke, prizes, and snacks!
September 21 | 7PM - Library Board Meeting
September 23 | 3-4PM - Flour Power Hour

Free GED/HSE Classes are available at the library!
Free ESL tutoring is also available at the library. Classes and tutoring are provided by the Monroe/Randolph Regional Office of Education. Call Kim Knop Monday-Thursday at 618-826-0376 for more information.
