Blind Date with a Book - All month in February!

Pick up a blind date book based only on the info given. Blind date books will be wrapped up so that you can’t see the cover and you will have only a few clues as to what the       content will be. Read the book, rate your date, and return the rating card to the library by Saturday, March 2 to be entered into the prize giveaway. This year we will have adult, teen, and middle grade chapter books available for Blind Dates. Look for Blind Date displays for your age/reading preferences throughout the library.


February 2, 4:15 p.m. - Adult Book Club

We will be discussing The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden.


February 7, 3-4 p.m. - Lego Club

Children must have preregistered to attend.


February 12, 5-6 p.m. - Mini Willow Hearts Craft

This will be mini willow heart craft led by Christy Howell of   Plants Everywhere. Dried flowers and hot glue will be used,      so this craft is not for young children. Registration is required.


February 14, 3-4 p.m. - Craft Club

Children must have preregistered to attend.


February 19 - Library closed for Presidents’ Day!


February 20, 7 p.m. - Board Meeting


February 21, 11a.m. - 12p.m. & 3 - 4p.m. - Story Hours

Join us at the library at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m. for story hour! Both story hours will have the  same stories and activities.


February 28, 3-4 p.m. - Teen Advisory Board


February 29, 4-6 p.m. - Teen/Adult Coaster Making Drop-In Craft

We will be making sets of decorative coasters with ceramic tiles, cork, paper, napkins,   and mod podge. Drop in any time during the 2 hour period to put your coasters together. We will seal them for you after they dry overnight and they should be available for pickup after a few days. Coasters will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Free GED classes & ESL tutoring at the library.

If you or your child participates in a Steeleville Area Public Library District event, the Steeleville Area Public Library District may photograph or video record the events or activities in which you or your child is participating for the purpose of promoting the library and its services and programs. If you do not wish for the Steeleville Area Public Library District to use photographs or videos of you or your child, please let us know in advance of the program.
